Becoming a parent · A guided journal
Before the Baby Arrives
Prepare for a family life where your needs count too.
Preparing for a baby brings endless decisions and advice, and fewer chances to ask how you want to enter parenthood. What are you hoping for? Which expectations have you discussed, and what support might you need? These 300 questions bring your identity, relationships, roles and boundaries into the preparations. With a partner or on your own, begin with a hope, a worry or an unanswered question. Put what matters into words before this new chapter begins.

Before you begin
A few questions
before you begin.
Can I try the journals before buying?
Yes. Select TRY IT FREE to open a six-page sample with two questions from each of our five journals. Download the printable version to write by hand, or the fillable version to type your answers. No email is needed for the current sample download.
Will a printed book be delivered?
Every journal includes a printable and a fillable PDF in English. No physical book is shipped and printing costs are not included. You can print the whole journal or just the pages you want to write on.
Can I type directly into the PDF?
Yes. Each journal includes a fillable A4 PDF and a separate printable A4 PDF with the same questions. Use a PDF app that supports form fields, save a copy, then close and reopen it to check your answers. Support varies between apps; keep your writing within the visible fields.
What is included in each journal?
Two English-language A4 PDFs: printable and fillable. Love contains 500 questions across 142 pages per edition; the other four journals each contain 300 questions across 89 pages per edition. Every PDF includes four companion sheets: Extra answer sheet, After a conversation, One next step and Returning to these pages. US Letter is not included.
Do I have to know what the problem is?
No. A hope, a recurring thought, a relationship you value or something you cannot quite put into words can all be a starting point. The questions help you notice what is happening now, clarify what matters to you and consider your own next step.
Can I buy one journal or a collection?
Buy any journal individually, or choose the Complete Collection with all five. The main purchase buttons open the matching Whop offer. Check Whop for your final price, currency, applicable tax and download details. Etsy and Gumroad are available as alternatives; prices and offers can differ between platforms.
Do I need to finish every question?
No. Start with a chapter that matters today. One word, a few lines or simply considering a question can be enough. Skip a question, pause, and come back whenever you want.
Do we have to answer together?
You can write privately, discuss selected questions, or do both. Our Marriage, By Design is for couples preparing to marry and those already married. You do not have to share your writing, agree on every answer or involve the other person.
Which journal should I begin with?
Choose the relationship that has your attention today. The love journal explores your broader relationship with love and yourself. The other four focus on marriage, parents, siblings and becoming a parent.
Is this therapy or relationship advice?
These journals are for personal reflection and optional conversation, for adults aged 18 and over. They are not therapy, diagnosis or professional advice, and do not promise an outcome. If a question feels overwhelming, stop and consider the support you need.

What do you want
your next chapter to look like?
Begin with the question you keep coming back to. Put what you want into words, then consider the choice or conversation that could move you towards it. Start for yourself, or give someone you care about a thoughtful place to begin.
